My mom keeps on asking me when my Easter vacation is, and i usually correct her and tell her “you mean my spring break?”. hah, anyways, she keeps asking because she wants to go to Europe again to visit my sister, who lives out in the U.K.
I’ve told her numerous times already that I DON’T want to go, the 1st and main reason, it’s because i have no monies. The 2nd reason, i just hate traveling with my folks.
And i know what some of you may be thinking “oh erik really? Your parents are asking you to go to Europe with them, and you’re refusing??? wtf are you thinking?! ITS EUROPE!”
This would explain why my mom and dad get so upset with me when i don’t go traveling with them on smaller vacations, to places like Mexico for example. Its mainly a combination of traveling with them and visiting cities like TJ and Mexicali, they just don’t intrigue me enough.
My dad usually then comes to talk to me in “private” and gives me this serious discussion on how i don’t like spending time with my family and blah blah blah. Its like, come on…you know?
I mean, aren’t i entitled to my own decisions? It’s not that i don’t like spending time with my family, i just don’t like being in the car with my parents for so long.
Im 25 years old (almost 26 in a few months), i think im old enough to say where i want to go, or if i don’t want to go at all. That, and, im 25, i feel real old riding in a car with my mom and dad for so long.
The thing i hate so much about traveling with them is that i feel entrapped. That feeling, it’s just a horrible feeling, im in a car (could be substituted with plane, boat, train, etc), and i can’t get out, and even if you could get out, you got no where to go because you aren’t home. yes i get home sick, easily…
Makes sense?? No? Who cares…im sure no one is reading this bag of shit that i just wrote down
This is my first tumblr post…and hopefully not my last. Good night
